Part Time Road Department Position

Concord Township is seeking a motivated individual for a part-time position within our Road Department. The position will primarily focus on cemetery and park maintenance as well as snow and ice removal, but other duties within the Road Department may be required.

Candidates must be willing to work outside and perform physical labor tasks. The ability to do simple maintenance and repairs is a plus. A candidate experienced in snow and ice removal is preferred, but not necessary.

Pay with CDL $21.18/without CDL $19.30 per hour

Calhoun Road Closure June 22 - June 26

Attention Concord Township residents: With the warmer weather, you may see an increase in door-to-door sales. We want to ensure our community stays informed about local regulations and Concord Township Resolution No. 052318-2.

Permits are Mandatory: All door-to-door vendors must apply for and carry a valid Concord Township-issued permit. If a vendor knocks on your door, you have the right to ask to see their physical permit.
Verify Registered Vendors: You can view the list of currently permitted vendors at any time by visiting concordtwp.org under the "Solicitation" tab.
Prohibited Hours: No solicitation is ever permitted between the hours of 7:00 PM and 9:00 AM. No solicitation shall occur on Saturdays, Sundays, or on legal holidays.
Opt Out: You have the option to sign up for the "No Solicit" list which is provided to all permitted vendors. This can be found at concordtwp.org under the "Solicitation" tab.
Exemptions: Standard transient vendor laws do not apply to individuals distributing noncommercial religious or political literature....

Rumpke Trash Rate

Starting with the April 1, 2023 bill, you will see an increase in you trash and recycling collection rates from Rumpke. Your rate for the next year will be $21.45 per month. When the Township Trustees put this contract out to bid in late 2021/early 2022 we were facing inflation rates that were at a 40 year high. Our concern was that a 3-year contract could reflect those historic inflation rates projected over the three-year contract. Those concerns lead us to bid the contract with the yearly rate increase tied to the Consumer Price Index for Water/Sewer and Trash Collection Services. We felt this was the fairest way to bid the contract to avoid companies projecting a 10% yearly inflation rate over the life of the contract.

Starting April 1, 2023, we are in the second year of that contract. The CPI increase for Water/Sewer and Trash Collection Services is 4.42%. I have included the link to the data that was used for this calculation. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CUSR0000SEHG...
