Core Responsibilities

·         Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate dump trucks, front-end loaders, tractors, excavators, backhoes, asphalt rollers,      track loaders, and other heavy machinery.

·         Infrastructure & Grounds Maintenance: Perform asphalt maintenance, culvert installations, catch basin cleaning, and        sign maintenance.

·         Mowing & Landscaping: Operate tractors, zero-turn mowers, push mowers, and chainsaws to maintain parks,        cemeteries, and road rights-of-way.

·         Seasonal & Emergency Response: Perform essential snow and ice control along Township roads and facilities. Please note: This position operates on a 24-hour call-out basis for winter weather and other emergencies.

·         Facility, Park & Cemetery Care: Complete manual labor tasks including laying mulch, tree trimming or removal, and maintaining community park pavilions and restrooms.

·         Fleet Care: Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs on Township vehicles and equipment fleet.

·         Public Relations: Respectfully listen to community concerns and refer them to the Road Supervisor or a Concord Township Trustee.

Qualifications & Requirements

·         License: Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License; CDL preferred.

·         Physical Capability: Ability to handle physical labor including shoveling, trimming, lifting, and carrying heavy items.

·         Availability: Must be reliable and flexible to respond to emergency call-outs outside of standard working hours.

·         Attitude: Strong willingness to learn, collaborate effectively with coworkers, and positive work ethic.

Compensation & Benefits

·         Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $31.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

·         Retirement: Full Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) package.
